Just Me!

I am a 30 something single mom.  In the physical world I’m divorced.  But spiritually I’m married as God is a husband to the husbandless and Father to the Fatherless.  I have come to know Him in such an awesome way because of the trials in life.  I’ve walked with Jesus all my life but forced to KNOW Jesus when He was all I had to trust, to talk to, to provide, to protect, to see me through.  Sometimes you don't know Jesus is all you need until He is all you have. It's at that moment faith takes on a whole new meaning. He has saved my life in more ways than just salvation...and God always had A Plan. Even when I didn't like it, there was only Plan A...His Plan. No Plan B. 

I run constantly in every sense of the word!  I have a full time career in Interiors strictly for government at home and abroad. I absolutely love Photography and my Nikon is another extension of my body. I love running and physical fitness. I want to be sure I can minister and be used for the Lord as long as possible so I'm careful to take care of myself to not only be a healthy vessel for His use, but for an example of His handiwork as His beauty shines through me.  My two teenage kids are the light of my life and discovering life.  Then there's my heart's true career…reaching the lost and hurting with the love of Jesus Christ, however that looks to God. Right now, that is the high school/young adult ministry but there's so many hurting that I'm open to wherever and whoever God wants to put me.  My favorite question is how do you want to be known?  Easy.  Acts 19:13-16. 

¹³ Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, “In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.” ¹⁴ Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. ¹⁵ One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but WHO are YOU?” ¹⁶ Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.  (Italics and bold are mine) 

My hearts desire is that my kids and I are known in Heaven and hell like Paul and Jesus are described.  I want to be known as a dangerous woman for Christ.  That comes one way…PRAYER!!  Not pansy prayers, but a LIFE of prayer that's lived out every minute of the day. And Heaven and hell both know us by name.  

Music is a HUGE part of our lives!! My son plays electric guitar and has a sound in his heart for a rare genre...Christian electronica, ambient and dance sounds created for God for the use of worship and a ministry to the secular "club-ing" generation.  God is orchestrating incredible connections with other artists and doors are flying open!  I LOVE to sing, played the flute for 10 years. We are excited about an exciting door that's opened up for a Christian music ministry.  God continues to blow our minds as HE orchestrates and brings to life desires He placed inside us! Desires He fans and blows a fresh wind stirring the flames to new heights with worship visions and playing concerts for His Kingdom by taking worship to the masses...watching God bring a vision to life takes faith to crazy new levels!! Whoever believes God doesn't do modern miracles as in the Bible doesn't know our God!!  Stay tuned for more on this exciting new development!  More to come soon!  With that said allow me to introduce my 2 kids!  They are both entering their "adult years" but it's really a huge privilege to say my kids are best friends in ministry and the CROWN of my life...my life is that much better having them in it.   

My "Tiara"…my 19 yr old daughter is the bright spot of my day.  Wait. My LIFE!!!  She’s the crown of my life and full of joy that pours out and radiates from the inside out.   When she laughs and smiles her eyes turn into little half moons and her nose crinkles up! But she is my sunshine!  She’s a complete girly-girl and takes after me in so many ways.  If it sparkles and shines w/ glitter she gravitates towards it!  She runs hard AFTER God’s heart!  She's currently at Masters Commission Atlanta asking God what the plan is for her life and pursuing it completely SOLD OUT for Him!!  She is truly a special, gorgeous, rare gem like Queen Esther.  She is my sunshine, my joy.  God may not have favorites, but she has a special place in His heart and her daddy has an upright young man with integrity who is highly favored by God waiting just for her.      

My "King Lemuel"….Most people overlook verse 1 in Prov. 31.  It was written by a king (Lemuel) who learned the wisdom of Proverbs 31 from his mother.  In most studies I’ve done Lemuel points back to King Solomon, a “poetic” name from his mother, Bathsheeba.  In Hebrew, Lemuel is man “dedicated to God”.   I have called my 18 yr old son “littlest man” from the day he was able to keep up when life became “mom and the 2 kids”.  But there’s nothing little about him inside or outside. He has the BIGGEST heart I’ve ever seen with a love and hope that only comes from Jesus. He has the heart of King David and wisdom of King Solomon.  I’ve watched life knock him down, men he trusted destroy his heart and where most kids would give up on hope…he gets back up, loves and hopes again...and goes through life with wisdom like I've never seen.   One day he'll have an incredible wife who will value him and see the same things I do.  Lemuel is Mom’s hero.  Period.
